PBL

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be showing you my invention for PBL. My invention helps in the wetlands. It waters the plants when they are dying. I chose to do a small jet plane that flies around and water plants that are dying  it has a camera that scans the trees on the monitor and the pilot can drop the water on the spot. this helps the tree to get tall and healthy. I hope you like my inventions.

Trip

This week we went to the groynes. We bused to the groynes. We walked around the park and we met a woman. She told us why the groynes is called the groynes. We learnt that it meant the groynes and the waimakriri was a long rover that is content together. It is usually flooded. And the moaris made a dam to bloke to the river so it doesn’t flood up. We then walk across the swing bridge. On the walk the woman taught us what the plants are and what is meant. After we ate our lunch we used some nets to catch little bugs and the most common was probably the boatmen we found lots of them. I found a rare bug in a mud pond. it was fun.

Have you been to the groynes?

This week we have been learning about the Laudato Si. Laudato Si is a Letter of the Holy Father Francis on care for our common home. Pope Francis has written a letter to everyone in the world to help care for our world. Laudato Si means “Praise Be to You”. We had to research the Laudato Si. We had an activity to write. We had to find a website to make a word search. It had to be about the Laudato Si. Like the words were: Rubbish, Laudato Si, recycling and more.

Here is the word search:

Reading

This week we had to learn about evolution and adaptation. We read about birds like kiwi, Moa and pukeko because they had to adapt to the ground and live without flying. We had to do an activity about the adaptation and the definition synonym in a pyramid.
